COVID safety tips for Hotel & Restaurant

 Extra tip's about COVID-19 


There is an major impact on travel and tourism industry because of Corona virus. Everywhere revenue is going down. There is no tourism. this affected to the hotel industry. many hotels were closed during this pandemic. but now some of the hotels are going to open their operation. so this blog is specially for small hotel owners. I know all hotels will follow the instruction from the government and WHO. but this is for them who does not know.  




Front office
before entering to the hotel temperature check should be done by security if you don't have security it can be done at bell desk or if you don't have bell desk it can be done at the reception. keep sanitiser in your lobby. place distancing mark in your lobby and lift. while giving check in keep pre-registration card's, keep your keys ready. for taking payments try to avoid cash payments, for card payments use wireless wifi machines. keep pens, registration forms separately for the guest. keep distance between two rooms do not allow more than two persons in the room. 

Restaurant
Maintain safe distance in the restaurant do not allow more than two person on one table. try to give online menu for food order or make menu for the day and keep it on all tables. for billing follow the front office. avoid table cloth and napkins in the restaurant. use disposable cutlery for all guest. use packaged drinking water.

Housekeeping
Housekeeping is the most important department in terms of hygiene of the hotel. try to put all disposable amenities in the room. for Eg. Tea cups, glass, spoons, stirrer etc., follow all hygiene instructions by government and WHO.   

Hotel Staff 
all staff's temperature should check before coming to the shift. all staff should wear hand gloves and mask compulsory. staff should maintain safe distance between guest and other coworkers. should regularly use sanitisers before and after every guest service.

If you are following all above things then don't keep with your self share it with others so that you will attract more guest. To increase your revenue guest should come to the hotel and to attract guest you have to advertise your safety precaution.
